Austrian Minister for Family and Youth Sophie Karmasin awarded the basic certificate for career and family to Constantia Teich during an award ceremony on Tuesday evening as one of a total of 81 employers from the whole of Austria honored for their family friendly policies.
“We are proud that we have received this award. We consider it as part of our responsibility towards all employees to respect their personal lives and implement measures aimed at reconciling career and family. This is a sign for us that we are on the right path with our commitment to the family”, says General Manager Dr Gerhard Hummer. “Together with our employees from all departments we agreed on a catalogue of family-friendly measures during the audit that are supported by management and which will be implemented within the next three years. These include, for instance, informational offerings related to child supervision, paternal leave and care; training for executive staff on family-related needs; integration of family-related topics in employee appraisals; baby breakfasts for employees on parental leave and their children as well as structured regular contact with our employees who are on parental leave.”
“We are particularly proud of the commitment shown by our employees who took part in the audit and expressed their personal commitment in terms of implementing the measures decided. This ensures the success for us of the measures that have been worked out,” says Head of HR Julia Birner.
Companies that have successfully passed the audit and have therefore created the sustainable framework conditions for a more family-friendly working environment in line with their employees’ relevant demands are awarded the state audit certificate for career and family on an annual basis.
